Elementary Art_Grade 5 Where eagles soar (DVD)

Each CD includes a full-color copy of the teacher's manual and student booklet pages for one grade level. The license that accompanies the CD allows for the reproduction of the materials for use within the purchasing school. The CD format procides full-color reproduction.

Student pages include reproductions of well-known artwork, stories such as "The Big Race," character-building scripture teachings, skill-building exercises, quizzes, and art vocabulary. This level also contains art history (Renaissance and Reformation) and more extensive art appreciation. Assignments involve problem-solving (creating inventions during study of Leonardo da Vinci), drawing on "the Sistine Chapel ceiling," (Michelangelo) printmaking (Durer), "upside-down" drawing, creating a diorama, low relief with clay. Scripture study focuses on the importance of giving glory to God in all we do. The Renaissance is exposed as a time in history when man glorified himself.
